MEET KENNY
My career as a writer started in the traditional world. My chops as a Creative Director were honed in the digital era. I've been fortunate to craft multi-media campaigns for a myriad of blue chip names, as well as to provide mentorship and coaching to team members. But my previous role on the Apple Interactive Retail team provided me an unique opportunity to demonstrate how a brand's story can show up for the various facets of the customer journey — from marketing to social media to in-store engagements to digital commerce.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Freelance Creative Director/Writer – 2023: CD/CW consultant working on a variety of projects from brand development/positioning to advertising to eCommerce across a range of industry categories.
Apple, Inc. – 2014-2023: ACD/Copy for Apple’s interactive retail group. Managed and mentored multiple creative teams on a range of Apple retail efforts.
Loomis Group SF – 2010-11: As the Exec.CD, duties included shaping the department and the agency’s overall creative process, serving as lead creative for new business development, as well as coaching younger colleagues.
Attik – 2008-2009: Creative Director on projects for Toyota, Lexus and new business. It was an amazing experience derailed by a nasty global economy.
Mullen – 2006-2007: Creative Director on Wachovia Bank and Embarq Communications.
Y&R – 2002-2004: ACD/CW on Jaguar and El Pollo Loco. There was so much contact with the Jaguar clients, I had to buy extra shirts with collars.
TBWA/Chiat/Day – 1996-2000: Copywriter on accounts such as, ABC, Sony Playstation, Absolut Vodka, The Weather Channel, Nissan, Infiniti, Taco Bell and Coinstar.
